Operating standards of front shock absorbers
NO.Process NameMain ContentsRemark
1Clean1. The front fork tube combination, positioning tube, buffer spring, and damping spring are cleaned with unused clean kerosene. The inner hole of the front fork tube must be brushed with a brush. Requirements: No particulate matter or black oil stains.
2Aluminum tube appearance selectionSelect all:
1. No obvious sags, leaks, scratches, orange peels, or bubbles in the appearance of the paint;
2. Particles on the main view below Φ0.2mm, more than 240mm apart, 3 points are allowed;
3. Trach, pores, and polishing lines Not allowed to appear.
3Fork tube appearance selectionSelect all:
1. During the maximum stroke of the shock absorber, the exposed part of the fork tube (including the oil seal fitting section) must be free of scratches and chrome defects such as pinholes, blisters, and particles. Slight abrasions are allowed. There is a card issue phenomenon);
2. The rest of the shock absorber fork pipe (excluding the oil seal matching section) is allowed to have bumps and abrasions and plating defects, but there must be no protrusion;
3. The outer surface of the threaded end of the fork pipe is not allowed There are nodules and ablation after plating.
4Scouring1. Wash the aluminum cylinder and vacuum it with a straw. Requirement: No obvious particulate matter.
5Tail hole bolt inspection1. Each batch draws 20 sticks to test the torque, requiring 15-25N.m
6Tightness check1.100% test leak.
7Oil check1. Before mass production, the amount of oil must be corrected with a measuring cup.
8Indicator1.100% indicator check.
9End cap inspection1. Check whether the end cover is rounded;
2. Check whether the retaining ring is locked in place.
10Inspector general and appearance1. 100% inspection of total length and shaft hole;
2. 100% inspection of appearance according to the second standard
11Run-in1.100% running-in, check for oil leakage.
12Resting1. Stand for 12h and check for oil leakage.
13Boxing1. Verify that the gimmicks are consistent with the real thing.

1Piston rod inspectionSelect all:
1. During the maximum stroke of the shock absorber, the exposed part of the piston rod (including the oil seal fitting section) must be free from scratches and chrome defects such as pinholes, blisters, and particles. Slight abrasions are allowed. There is a card issue phenomenon);
2. The rest of the shock absorber piston rod (excluding the oil seal matching section) is allowed to have bumps and abrasions and plating defects, but there must be no protrusions.
2Piston rod assembly inspection1. 100% inspection of torque of connecting rod nut ¢ 10 or more;
2. Inspection of piston runout 2%, runout requirement ≤ 0.1mm.
3Clean1. The cylinder, piston rod combination, buffer spring, and guide seat equipped with Q-ring are cleaned with clean kerosene, and the inner hole of the cylinder is cleaned with a brush. Requirements: There should be no obvious particulate matter and black oil stains.
2. Drain the cleaning parts before assembly
4Oil check1. Before mass production, the amount of oil must be corrected with a measuring cup.
5Damper indicator1.100% indicator check.
6Visual inspection before going online1. 100% full inspection of dust cover, damper and spring before going online. No obvious scratches, bottom leakage or sand marks are required.
2. The exposed end of the smooth surface of the damper piston rod is not allowed to be corroded by plating.
7Overall length and visual inspection1. 100% inspection of total length and shaft hole;
2. 100% inspection of appearance according to item 4 requirements.
3. Check the concentricity of the dustproof upper and lower covers for 100%.
8Resting1. Stand for 12h and check for oil leakage.
9Boxing1. Verify that the gimmicks are consistent with the real thing.
